Derventio Housing Trust

Derventio Housing Trust tackles homelessness head-on, providing accommodation, support and opportunities to help people provide training standards who have lost their way to get back on their feet. As well as directly providing accommodation and support, we deliver wider support services to empower people to maintain their independence and achieve their personal aspirations.

Chesterfield Community Care Farm Training Resources & Guides

Chesterfield Community Care Farm is a not for profit social enterprise dedicated to providing Training & Development opportunities to young people and adults seeing experience and accredited training in the practical care of livestock and land.

Our mission statement is Opportunities for All and our provision is flexible so that we can both meet the needs of the people seeking an entry point into the world of work and the needs of disabled or otherwise disadvantaged people seeking meaningful activity as volunteers or an alternative to traditional day care.

We promote the development of social skills, language training, and raise awareness of the links between land, food and production.

We have 23 acres used for livestock enclosures – pigs, sheep, cows, goats, poultry, rabbits and more – and in development for market gardening activity.

We have also recently been graded as outstanding by Nottingham City Secondary Education Partnership for our Alternative Provision with MovingonCourses.

Derwent Stepping Stones

Derwent Stepping Stones has been providing high quality, flexible childcare in Derby for 25 years. We currently have settings in Derwent, Normanton and Mackworth providing fee paying and funded free places. We are committed to workforce development and provide traineeships and apprenticeships to local people at all of our settings.
