Evaluating the Impact of CPD
Thursday 9 February 2012 (pm)
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is widely acknowledged to be of great importance in the life of schools and post 16 training contributing to professional and personal development for staff and to improvement in teaching and learning.
Evaluation of CPD is usually the responsibility of Staff Development Officers (SDO) and often insufficient support or advice is given about the modes of evaluation available for use, this results in SDOs being less prepared than they might be for their role, and to being unequipped with the tools to perform that role.
